  1.                         " T O O   M U C H   3 - D "

  3.     This demo is a warning to those of you who spend too much 
  4. time behind your computer monitors.  (Believe me, I know!)  The 
  5. first time I experienced this I thought I had just discovered 
  6. some new rendering mode in Videoscape.  That was until I'd 
  7. realized half the den had just been leveled!  I mean hey, when it 
  8. gets this rough it's time to take a break.  Right?
  9.  
  10.        "TOO MUCH 3-D" was created using (AEGIS) "MODELER 3-D", 
  11. (ELECTRONIC ARTS) "DELUXE PAINT 2" and of course (AEGIS) 
  12. "VIDEOSCAPE 3-D".  This entire demo was rendered, compressed and 
  13. written to disk in less than 2 hours (on a standard 2000 HD.)

  15.      All of the modeling was done with Modeler 3-D.  The wall 
  16. paper was created using Videoscape and Modelers surface detailing 
  17. features.  Which allows the user to create many individual 
  18. polygons and save then to a single parent polygon.  Which the 
  19. program will then recognize as just one polygon.  (The volume 
  20. names on the encyclopedias were done the same way.)
  21.  
  22.     The scenes with the anim running in the monitor was done by 
  23. rendering a frame (of the computer), saving it as an IFF picture 
  24. and then re-loading it as an IFF foreground image in Videoscape.  
  25. I then rendered an animation in the background (spaceship 
  26. flying), with the monitor screen acting as a window, allowing me 
  27. to see the anim running in the background.
  28.      Except for some of the modeling, this animation was put 
  29. together in an evening.
